AmCham KSA Announces New Vice-Chairman, Tamer Mosalam, VP & GM of PepsiCo Saudi Arabia

·   The American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmChamKSA) announced in its February Board Meeting that Tamer Mosalam, VP & GM of PepsiCo Saudi Arabia, would be taking on the role of Vice-Chairman.

·   Mosalam has experience with international American Chambers of Commerce, mentorship programs, and is committed to making a positive social impact in Saudi Arabia through inclusion programs for those with special needs and women. 

RIYADH - 14 March 2021 - The American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmCham KSA) is proud to announce that Tamer Mosalam, the Vice President and General Manager of PepsiCo in GCC & Levant, has been appointed the new Vice-Chairman of AmCham KSA.

Currently, Tamer is a member of the core committee board for Trade & Industry and is the head of the Food & Beverage Committee at the Canada Egypt Business Council. Tamer previously held the post of the Co-Chair for the Agriculture Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, and, and was a member of the Egyptian Agriculture Export Council.  

Since being appointed as the Vice President & Business Unit General Manager at PepsiCo Saudi Arabia in 2019, Mosalam has been committed to making a positive social impact and building on PepsiCo’s recent successes in the Kingdom, with particular emphasis on inclusion.  He has been a driving force behind reducing barriers to opportunities for both those with special needs and women. Under Tamer’s leadership, Mowa’amah, an entity operating under the Ministry of Human Resources, awarded PepsiCo a gold certificate for creating an inclusive environment for employees with special needs. Additionally, PepsiCo has created a women’s empowerment platform, Tamakani, to give opportunities for entrepreneurship training to women in Saudi wherein Tamer served as a judge to award the PepsiCo Foundation fund to the winning team, bringing their start-up concept to life. 

Lastly, Mosalam provides mentorship to a wide network of startups and small size businesses, facilitating and sponsoring startup financing through venture capital funds and angel investors throughout the Middle East.

Confident that Mosalam has the experience, strategic vision, and strong relationships with the American embassy and Saudi agencies, Chairman Tarik Solomon presented his recommendation for Tamer to be nominated as Vice-Chairman.  The nomination was well-received and accepted at AmCham KSA’s February Board Meeting.
