AmChamKSA Announces Stephen McCallion, COO of GE Saudi Arabia, as Newest Member of the Board of Directors
· The American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmChamKSA) announced in its June Board Meeting that Stephen McCallion, Chief Operating Officer of GE Saudi Arabia, accepted a position on the organization’s board of directors.
RIYADH - 22 June 2021 - The American Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (AmCham KSA) announced in its June Board Meeting that Stephen McCallion, the Chief Operating Officer of GE Saudi Arabia has been appointed to the board of directors of AmCham KSA.
Stephen is an internationally experienced, commercially orientated Executive with strong technical and leadership skills and a track-record in successfully positioning businesses to win commercially and to drive growth. He has been based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia since early 2016.
In his COO role, Stephen works across all GE businesses – Aviation, Digital, Healthcare and energy-related businesses - to strengthen stakeholder relationships, support the development and execution of business strategy and market risk management, and works to align GE’s business strategies with the aims of Saudi Vision 2030. Stephen leads Government Affairs & Policy and Corporate Communications as well as supports other initiatives such as local talent and leadership development. During 2020 Stephen led all efforts for GE related to the G20 with a focus on energy & sustainability.
Prior to GE, Stephen worked for a number of years in global corporate roles with both Royal Dutch Shell and TAQA (Abu Dhabi National Energy Company). Earlier in his career Stephen held several marketing roles in the FMCG industry.
In his new role on the board of AmChamKSA, McCallion will be aiding the organization in creating a new marketing and communications strategy. McCalllion noted, “I’m delighted and honored to be appointed to the AmCham board and look forward to successfully working towards aligning the long-term mutual interests of the Kingdom and those of US firms.”
With several recommendations and confident in the value of McCallion’s experience, AmChamKSA Chairman Tarik Solomon welcomed Stephen to his new role. The nomination was well-received and accepted at AmChamKSA’s June Board Meeting.
