AmCham Saudi Arabia's Defense & Security Committee hosted a closed-door Lunch and Learn seminar on November 10th, 2024, at the Marriott Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh. We were thrilled to welcome a distinguished group of U.S. Generals and Flag Officers from the CAPSTONE program for an engagement with industry thought leaders in KSA, where valuable insights were exchanged with a focus on the transformative impact of Vision 2030 and how it is reshaping the commercial and military relationships in the region.

The event kicked off with a networking lunch, followed by engaging keynote speeches from prominent figures in the industry:

• Nomaan Syed, Board Member and Defense & Security Committee Chair at the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia, opened the event with welcoming remarks and a primer on Vision 2030 and its transformative impact in the Kingdom and wider Middle East region.

• ⁠John Nicholson, Senior Fellow, U.S. CAPSTONE, gave an introduction to the CAPSTONE program and highlighted the importance of the field studies tour to partner nations.

• Joseph Rank, Chief Executive for Saudi Arabia & Africa at Lockheed Martin, shared a defense prime’s perspective on the changing landscape and growth opportunities in the Kingdom.

• Devin Young, JD, PMP, Senior Associate/Project Manager at Jones Group Middle East, and Dr. Mark Boone, DEL, M.S., M.A., M.S., Senior Associate at Jones Group Middle East, provided a deep dive brief into the Kingdom’s military transformation journey.

The event also featured an engaging open discussion and a Q&A session.
