Jesse M. LaPierre

Jesse Lapierre is a Senior Advisor at Saudi Aramco, and leads strategic partnership efforts with international organizations.  He is a contributor to the World Economic Forum (WEF), with publications including the bi-annual “Future of Jobs” reports “Towards a Reskilling Revolution” and “HR 4.0: Shaping People Strategies in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Prior to joining the Aramco, Jesse was the Principal Commercial Officer for the U.S. Consulate General in Dhahran from 2014-2016, and was the U.S. Government’s designated representative for trade and business development in the Eastern Province.  His project work included the $4.97 billion loan on the Sadara Refinery Project, the largest financing deal in US history, as well as several key trade negotiations in the Oil & Gas and Medical fields. As a tenured Diplomat, his foreign assignments included the Washington, Brussels, Riyadh, Jeddah, New Orleans (assisting with post-Deepwater Horizon recovery and economic development), and Jakarta, Indonesia, where he brought in more than $365 million in Clean Energy investments at the 2013 APEC Summit in Bali.

Jesse is from Massachusetts, and earned his B.A. in English Literature and his M.A. in International Business from George Mason University. He also holds a certificate in Developmental Economics from Universiteit van Pretoria in South Africa. An avid rugby player and fan, Jesse played professional rugby in South Africa and Australia. He speaks Indonesian, French, German, Afrikaans and basic Arabic.
